A week after the E. Jean Carroll verdict…
This case was very personal for me. I suspect I’m not alone.
“Trump raped me whether I screamed or not.”
That was the testimony of E Jean Carroll when pressed by lawyer Joe Tacopina on why, if she had been raped as she alleged, she didn’t scream.
"I don't need an excuse for not screaming," she said
"Women who come forward — one of the reasons they don't come forward is because they're always asked, 'Why didn't you scream? Some women scream. Some women don't. It keeps women silent."
It’s been a week since the verdict in her trial was reached. A week since her attacker, donald trump was found liable for sexually abusing and defaming her. A week since those words, ‘he raped me whether I screamed or not’ hit me like a 2 x 4.
