I'm 83 so F bombs weren't as prevalent in my youth as now, but for crying out loud people, in my youth Fascists were on the other side, not running America. Fuck has become one of my favorite words due to the need to express my dismay, anger, frustration and absolute horror of our times. You keep being you and doing your great writing. We love you. And PS. it may seem I'm not a subscriber, but my subscription ends next Feb. I cancelled in order to not auto renew which is the only way Substack allows us to avoid auto renewal. As a recent subscriber, one of the reasons that I subscribe to you is because your willingness to drop the f-bomb in your daily discourse with this community. Your writing has some similarities with another journalist by the name of the Mouthy Renegade Writer. You both use political humor in your writing in order to shed light on Trump’s many abuses of power, his misuse of our tax dollars and highlighting the many atrocities that his administration has inflicted onto the American people. You both do this work in order to do your part in fighting to preserve our democracy from this authoritarian takeover. And you both use cuss words not to offend anyone whose reading your articles, but to convey your frustration with the direction this country is going in at they hands of Trump. And ultimately, the reason you both haven’t tapped out and let America fend for it selves, is because you both fight for a better future for your families and if throwing some “Fucks” here and there in your writhing can inform others of the dangers that this administration poses to all of us or Inspire others to take on this fight in any way that they can, then losing two paid subscriber, is nothing compared to the overall good you both do for the Substack community and the pro-democracy movement. So as a member of Substack and in this community, I don’t became a paid subscriber because I feel entitled to or expect a response from the journalists and writers that I subscribe to. I do it because I genuinely believe in the message their conveying in their writing and that providing them the financial support they need, which allows them to continue this fight, is my way of doing my part in this fight. I understand what you’re saying but actually, D campaign funding through ActBlue is in the hundreds of millions and steadily rising. DNC funding is shot, but the traits, out candidates will have the $ they need. If they lose, it won’t be for lack of money.
