“Cry harder” folks are finding the F out.

A little “pain”, but they’ll understand.

Donald Trump has not and will not, make life better for the bulk of the people who voted for him.

Groceries are already more expensive, healthcare coverage will be harder to get, their jobs will be less equitable and lower paying, their medications will be impossible to afford, the airplanes they fly on will crash more, the air they breathe, water they drink and food they eat will be less safe, and their kids will have less access to public education, if they can access it at all.

The women who voted for him will face losing even more rights, the Latinos who voted for him will face mass deportation and the blue collar workers who voted for him will face lower wages and more hours for less pay, in unsafe conditions, without overtime.

But so long as they get to hate who they hate, or pull the ladder up behind them, or blame some innocent immigrant for all that ails them… they don’t care. Even if they can’t afford eggs under him either, which by the way, they probably already can’t…

They still don’t care.

This was never really about eggs was it?

They just keep moving the line. He tells them they will feel some financial “pain” and they say “that’s fine”, he tells them that he won’t lower prices and they say “that’s fine.” And then they turn around and tell me to “cry harder” as I point out what they’re taking away from themselves. How they’re hurting themselves.

So, here’s a wee little heads up for those of you telling me to “cry harder” right now…

When your special needs child can’t get the services they need because the school cut the program, and your other child who is lucky enough to be able to travel the 25 miles to the closest school gets Rubella, and your wife ends up with cervical cancer because she couldn’t get regular screenings, and your elderly mom passes away because she couldn’t afford her insulin, and the hazardous chemical factory job where you work 60 hours a week but only get paid for 40, doesn’t provide healthcare, and you can’t take a day off to deal with that lingering cough of yours, and the medical bills wipe out your life savings, and there is no Medicaid or Medicare, no Social Security, no safety nets of any kind and the bank takes your home and you end up on the street, I won’t tell you to “cry harder.”

Because I’ll be too busy shaking my head while reminding you that all the shit you NEEDED, the shit you RELIED UPON is gone. That you gave it up and gave it away, all so you could end up paying MORE than EVER for those motherfucking eggs.

And if you want to talk about the “merit based hiring” you voted for… yeah, let’s do that too.
