The melted circus peanut just keeps on finding the Fuck out, doesn’t he? While he’s playing ‘never met her, don’t know her, never heard of her’ a jury in NYC took about 3 hours to decide that not only did he KNOW her, he sexually assaulted her. He defamed her. He lied about her. Knowingly. And for that, he has been slapped with a guilty verdict and ordered to pay E. Jean Carroll millions of dollars.

My very first thought when I heard the news, was FINALLY. Fucking finally. The piece of shit that doubled down in his deposition on the Access Hollywood tape wherein he bragged about sexual assault has been evading consequences for what feels like forever. Not only evading, thriving. He’s been rewarded for his bad behavior for eternity. Hell, he became fucking President (snarls at phone screen). And he didn’t get the dumb nickname of Teflon for nothing.

But this verdict, particularly on the heels of the hush money indictment, feels like a turn in the tides. It feels like that whole “arc of the moral universe” stuff might have something to it after all.

And no matter how many times or in how many “truths” he calls the fact that he was “only” found guilty of sexual assault and not rape (they did not conclude that he had actually penetrated her) the truth is that this is bad for donald trump and he knows it.

I’m not talking about the smooth brained Ma & Pa MAGAs sending him their social security checks, because he could club a baby seal on live tv and they’d send him their insulin money… I’m talking about the fact that this is bad for him because it opens the door for more of the women he’s assaulted (and that’s a deep fucking bench) to go after him, and even IF the cult says this is a “witch hunt” on paper, does any semi-respectable party really WANT to be like ‘yeah, that guy who was found guilty of sexual assault, that’s OUR guy!’ They can act all tough and defiant and ‘not only isn’t this bad it’s actually great’ upside down in their framing, but they still know this shit doesn’t help their racist rotting gourd god and his continuing crusade to vilify the people they also happen to hate.
