A debt ceiling deal AND an address from the Oval.
President Biden addressed the nation from the Oval Office tonight. His first ever such address. He wanted to talk to the American people directly, about the debt ceiling deal… and frankly, I thought it was great.
It was quintessentially Joe. From “catch this…” to his signature tag line about there being… “nothing America can’t do if we do it together”, he managed to strike a balance between hopeful and ‘make no mistake, Republicans tried to Fuck you folks’.
