This would be hysterical...if it weren't our country we are laughing about.

Will some Republicans PLEASE grow a spine and throw out this shit stain.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Senate Republicans just gave him $70 billion *more* money for ICE (i.e., militias) to harass, detain, oppress and deport who knows how many more people -- undocumented and American citizens -- whom they don't like. They're not even requiring basic restrictions like making ICE officers remove their masks. I'm not hopeful....

You had me at “ Don Snoreleone” 👏👏👏👏👏👏. Brilliant. Hats off again .

On the serious side. We’ve got big problems on the horizon.

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

You see it, too, Paul? We could experience unimaginable destruction here and around the world. Elon elected the pawn of Satan. Yes, Don Snoreleone.

When I first saw that your song was going to be a Beatles song, I immediately thought of 'Golden Slumbers'. 'I'm So Tired' is aptly appropriate, too.

I read yesterday that his people are now saying that he is closing his eyes because he is bored. I think the word that they are actually looking for would be dementia. We are the ones who are bored.

Jill's avatar

Golden Slumbers!

Jill's avatar

Truly meme-worthy, but I don’t want the greatest band in the history of the human race connected with this ridiculous man.

Debby Griffiths's avatar

As if bored is an okay excuse for a "chief executive"? Press release: it isn't the pass they think it is. Of course, he's already said he doesn't give a shit.

Yes, let him sleep the sleep of the dead. Your prose gives me a great laugh and boy do I need it! And agree we are some deep shit with this regime and the MAGAts but we are still standing up thanks to you, JoJo!!

Well that was great, as usual. I must say I did love your comment asking what is wrong with the people who name paint colors. Absolutely. Once I wanted some gray paint, and the color was called something like “clouds on a wintry day”. Seriously. Or a yellow could be “the laughter of a baby duck.” Anyway, your descriptive comments are just perfect, once again.

Terry Cook's avatar

Carol, you may on to something very trendy; adult themed paint colors.

J.T. Murphy's avatar

I would paint a wall with Laughing Baby Duck! Or use that name for a band.

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

You caught this as well. JoJo's humor reminds me of my friend LV. Hilarious 😂

May Don Snoreleone keep snoring on and never wake up. Being “anti-woke” is tiring, after all, so why bother opening your eyes while your minions pretend you’re awake and ruling as their Snored of the Rings? Let him sleep. Lullaby and good night. Don’t come back. Stay gone. Lullabye bye 👋🏼

Bob K.'s avatar

Hilarious! You’re the best! Trump is pathetic. His maga supporters are worse.

Yes, hilarious if it wasn't the horrible truth, brought to you by the guy whose consciousness checked out long ago. It took the train to Hoboken and started a new life there. However is pulling the dummy's strings now should cut them and their losses. I am old enough to have liked Ike but you don't want to let a colonoscopy get close to me. Bad things can happen.

The dummy told the farmers that they didn't mean shit to him and that he would rather be anywhere else. I have some ideas and I know that you do too. Mass insanity is what we have here and don't need a microscope to see it. Once enough people get tired of it, it will have reached critical mass and maybe we can return to normalcy. That is my 2 cents and prayers for tonight.

Thank you, Jo Jo, for keeping us laughing in the face of the most horrific chapter in US history. I love how you fully express your Jersey girl! It takes one to know one. The republicans lost their ity wity tiny balls again last week. What the fuck do Cornyn and Tillis have to lose at this point? I wish they could leave with integrity, standing for the people, not for fake self-declared King Trump. We must ensure a safe midterm in the fall. But realistically, I don't know, given all the graft and his declining health and mental capacity, if he will make it until November. Thank God for the balls and the integrity of the Federal Judges.

John D. Pearce's avatar

Agreed, except that Cornyn and Tillis cannot possibly have integrity now because it ran away from them screaming decades ago after they tried to roofie (sp?) it.

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

They are either bought and paid for, or frightened to death, or both. They don't know if they should pray for a pardon and offshore riches, or for their very lives.

They obviously don't give a fuck about their people's lives.

Mary de Ridder's avatar

Excellent, JoJo and hysterically funny 🤣 It’s just sad you are in real time referring to the sitting president of the USA. An infuriating g American tragedy. 😡😢😡

Jill's avatar

You've outdone yourself once again. "Grotesquerie" says it all!

It's astounding that so much of what you write is not exaggeration.

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

The definition of grave yard humor.

I agree let him sleep and if we're lucky it will be permanent.

I’m beginning to think that he is just one more distraction from the White Nationalist agenda in Project 2025.

I realize many people have thought that all distractions were about the Epstein files. If you check, over half of the wishlist of the Heritage Foundation has already been put in place.

White Nationalists are moving faster and faster towards taking over.

KingRayVet's avatar

I think it's all a distraction for that bloody book. He doesn't care about the Epstein files and thinks he's invincible. Your time is coming, Orange Menace.

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

Ray! Whas up! I've seen your posts. Did your dad take you to any of his games, like the World Series?

KingRayVet's avatar

We went to many of his games throughout the year ... when me and my sister weren't in school. St. Louis was our 2nd home. That ballpark was my playground, and I rarely sat still throughout games until I got a little older. I was all over the place, and my mama asked people to keep an eye on me so she could find me at the end of the games. There was also a room in the ballpark where only family (and friends) of players could go. It had a smooth floor, and I could be found sliding into bases in there. Running into wheelchairs and being over-active as I frequently was.

Sometimes me and Benson's daughter would try to sneak past this overweight guard in front of the Cardinal's locker room. He would wake up and chase us back to the elevators without catching us. One time Brock's kid threw some ice at me from the locker room and hit me on the knuckle. I swore I would get that boy, but never saw him again. Funny memory that I never forgot.

KingRayVet's avatar

Yes, of course, but mama took us. We were automatically invited. 😁 The family of players had their own section in the stands. Behind the 1st base line.

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

Of, course! Your family was Royalty in the stands but not seen in public. Have you ever read, Ray Bradbury, 1945 "The Big Black and White Game?"

KingRayVet's avatar

No. I rarely read about baseball. I lived it, man. Didn't have to read about it. It was our life. 😉 What's it about? I have too many books to read. Give me a little summary.

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

The Black team was in town to play the White team. It was a brave effort by a white man to shine a BRIGHT light on equal rights in 1945. I believe he was shining a light on the horrible treatment of black soldiers during and after the war. You won’t regret, the read. Bradbury was a master of short stories and poetry.

Debby Griffiths's avatar

Yep. And they scare the shit out of me. They are the most anti-American group in the country today. I'd sooner trust Putin's best buddy (not including trump) I thought the Civil War was our revolution, but I guess not. If Hungary can do it, so can we! We - or rather they- have shed enough American blood already dammit!

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

Sick those dogs on the haters, please.

"They" want us to have more "white" babies, as they push all the pollution and vaccine lies that kill babies and cause infertility.

Idiots!

The last great gasp of the Confederacy. White is doomed. I can't wait until the Congress is full of women and men of color and as DEI as humanly possible.

David Warburton's avatar

Jo, fyi, I worked for a paint company for many years and was called upon occasionally to choose color names. It was actually rather fun and not all that easy. Like when you have a hundred medium green shades and each one needs a different name. Yeah. And we DID have a department (I was not in it and was only called upon to help when they were on overload) that named colors all the time.

Kevin Lawrence's avatar

I mixed paint for an automotive supply co.

We used to combine unused pints to sell for bargain basement (literally) prices.

Puse, Baby Blah, Dog Vomit. They sold well.
