I am so looking forward to watching the game on TV tonight! The booing will be the best booing of all time! There has never been booing like this ever before, and it will be spectacular! Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has ever been booed like this in history! You shouldn't miss it!

What time? Where? Firing up the air popper. Full stick of butter, freshly grated parmesan, chili seasoning mix Booooooo😁

Rakca's avatar

Popcorn update: Subbing in Chicken TACO seasoning mix from Penzey Spice Co. Will not need add’l salt or chili seasoning. Remember to order more for funeral broadcast party.

Lisa's avatar

Love Penzey's and all they stand for as well as their excellent spices.

Rakca's avatar

If you haven’t tried their Justice blend, I heartily recommend. It does great things to everything except chocolate pudding😉

Sharon C Storm's avatar

🤣😂 I love Penzeys too. Their cinnamon is the very best.

Rakca's avatar

They have a new new product that I am just loving. It is called mignonette pepper, is a blend with coriander included. It is not insanely hot, just incredibly aromatic. It is spectacular on veggies!

Bell’s Poultry Seasoning on my popcorn! Brings a little hint of Thanksgiving fragrance to the air.

Rakca's avatar

Excellent idea! The whole house will smell fabulous. Caveat…Bell’s goes stale in a couple months so buy in small amounts, replace often.

Derek Smith's avatar

I put the Bell’s in a recycled Morton & Bassett glass jar with an airtight screw top as soon as I get it home.

Rakca's avatar

I inherited a collection of pint gasketed springtop glass jars that I use for my own spice blends and bulk buys, but Bell’s seem more vulnerable than most. In general, I find that’s true of sage-based stuff???? Not sure that popcorn will mind though.

Enjoy the game!

INSPIRATION ALERT FOR TONIGHT’s POPCORN. SUBSTITUTION FOR THE CHILI SEASONING MIX:

I have a feeling he won't actually show up, now that it's been made clear that the entire arena is going to boo him, or worse. He'll just fuck off to Pedo Tower and stick the NYPD with the bill for all the added security.

JoJoFromJerz's avatar

I hope you’re right. But my money — and a dinner bet, is on him showing up and leaving before the half.

He’s sick in the head. He needs the spectacle.

Mary de Ridder's avatar

And he will act like he always does when booed, playing to the tv and cameras he will clap his little hands & greet the crowd. He always plays to the cameras. Always.

Rakca's avatar

He needs the cameras because otherwise he does not exist. I think he sees no reflection in his mirror.

Rakca's avatar

Do Knicks fans heave cups of beer at the VIP box (asking for a friend)?

Tom65's avatar

OK, I lose. Hope you're not holding me to that dinner bet.

Like an addict needs his drug of choice. Maybe Hunter can help him?

Tip off tonight at 8:30 televised ABC

It would warm my heart to see 20,000 Knicks fans turn around and moon the motherfucker. Priceless!! Go Knicks!

“Grab em by the city block”

Just excellent.

I despise him with every molecule I have.

That massive coronary is late. Let it arrive soon. 🤞

C'mon cheeseburgers and do your job!

Tonight in the luxury box would be nice.😂😂

Debby Griffiths's avatar

Yes, yes, in rage about the boos! 🤭

I am so psyched for tonight- GO KNICKS!! Fuck Trump!! I lived in the Bronx in the 70's to 90's and we ALL knew what a scumbag The Rapist has always been. How he ever got elected by Midwesterners and Southerners is beyond me. He is/was the quintessential 'ugly New Yorker' stereotype that most of us were trying to put behind us. Love your writing JoJo! You're the best!!

I saw a great interview with Bill Bradley the other day and he said this Knicks team reminds him of the title teams he played on because all of the players on this team are so unselfish. Go Knicks. Trump can fuck all the way off. I hope he shows and they boo the shit out of him.

Kenneth Tiven's avatar

As a big fan in that time period I would agree. Willis playing on one and a half legs, Fraser, Bradley., DeBusschere, Russell, Barnet....

Charles Austin's avatar

Don't forget about Jerry Lucas and Earl the Pearl on the second title team.

Debby Griffiths's avatar

I shook his hand in Hoboken when he was running for Senate and I worked in NYC and lived in NJ. Man, he was TALL!

Charles Austin's avatar

That's what I think about when I watch them.

ktbos's avatar

I don't think Trump mistook attention for affection. It's that to Trump, there is no such thing as affection and it is all about attention. Attention is the thing that makes him happy, that pushes the button on the dopamine dispenser in his "brain". He has no use for affection - either to give or to get. He really is that much of a psychopath.

Allen B from MD's avatar

Yep, like a rat in a cage getting his fix. To him, any attention, good or bad, is good. Most of our parents taught us the difference. Not mommy or daddy Trumpstein, nor his pedophile lawyer Roy Cohn. That deficit has become genetic in his offspring.

From one diehard NYer (forgive me for living in LA now), I love and respect this article. Truth! He’s a laughingstock now and always was. I have a thousand anecdotes from my NY days when people not only made fun of him behind his back - they did it straight at him, the NY way. He’s a total putz.

Susan Friend's avatar

NYC hates trump. And everyone with a modicum of rationality does too. I will celebrate for days when this SOB dies.

Virgin Monk Boy's avatar

Trump trying to make Knicks history about himself is like a casino buffet trying to interrupt a sacred liturgy. New York finally gets a night of collective joy, sweat, hope, and cardiac sports trauma, and here comes Florida’s loudest foreclosure notice with a security perimeter and a neediness disorder. But that’s the thing he never understood: New York doesn’t belong to whoever slaps their name on buildings. It belongs to the people who show up for each other. Let’s go Knicks. Fuck the fence.

RRiveter's avatar

I'm from the midwest, and I have NEVER heard a native New Yorker have anything but disdain to say about Trump. They hate his guts. They "got him" decades ago: his criminal father, his scheming and illegal "team", and him: no talent, gutless, illegal/criminal creep. Funny story: the day after he was elected in 2024, I was sitting in an outpatient medical facility, waiting for tests. Some Maga asshole came in with his red hat on and loudly said "isn't it great???" to whomever. A lady came up to him, and said "you talking about Trump? I grew up in New York, and he was and is nothing but a slum landlord, etc etc". The guy was infuriated and walked away from her muttering, but I laughed my ass off. I come from Detroit, and we all know the assholes there. Every city knows its assholes; New Yorkers are no different.

Ray Johnson's avatar

What's this going to cost taxpayers for him to show up, fall asleep and leave at halftime? If you are a Republican and get booed by people paying 10K a ticket to get in to an event, you really are a piece of shit.

Debby Griffiths's avatar

Ya think they will need extra ventilation for what he leaves behind?

Kenneth Tiven's avatar

Knicks owner Jimmy Dolan, fancies himself a junior Trump. Ironic because his dad, Charles Dolan, was a decent chap. I dounbt they will show any images of Trump watching from the box on the big screen... the booing for little Donny and mini Jimmy would be long and loud. I would not be surprised by some ad hoc chants, perhaps 1,2,3,4 we don't want your f*ing war. If knicks lose the game the blame will be on Trump for upsetting the balance in MSG. Lots of ghosts of greats past, but none rooting for el jefe from queens.

Matthew Ward's avatar

Remember when people would lean out of their windows, cheer and bang pots and pans to celebrate caregivers during lockdown? I want people to lean out of their windows and BOO for five solid minutes when Trump takes his seat.

BTW, do you think he will arrive late to time his entrance? It would be hilarious if they started the game without him.
