Ironically Stephen "UF" Miller who finally gave up on the spray-on hair, now looks like a penis with a weird face, like those thumb puppets Senor Wences would concoct. So he's literally a dick head.
Robert, obviously we all know who’s buttplug he is. His cousin posted a perfectly succinct takedown of the absolute disgrace to HER family on social media - he’s been properly disowned by them.
I haven't left a comment in a while, but this deserves one. I come of age in the 60's and grew up in a fairly "conservative" household. My father was a military brat, but installed a string moral compass. While we fought constantly about the Vietnam War, we made our peace after Kent State, but that is another story. One thing he always taught was that everybody deserved respect, everybody. Women were to be treated equally, and "No" meant no. Maybe that was the era of the "Officer and a Gentleman." My father also told me that, "I was not entitled to anything." There was no white, male entitlement when I was growing up. He once reprimanded me for pointing out a friend as the "black guy," when I could have also said He was the taller one." It's all about the moral compass and understanding that you are no better than anybody else, woman, man or other identifier. I believe we all need to think about "personhood," not some white, male idea of misguided masculinity. Note, I am the father of two daughters, who in the words of Bruce Springsteen are "tougher than the rest."
You had a good father. My Dad was a great man also - a WW2 veteran. I'm the oldest of 6 kids. We were poor growing up but our parents were such great people, we never realized how poor we were. One night, at dinner, my mother left the table crying, She was worried about the bills, I think we were about to be evicted (again). My sister said to my Dad (who was still eating and focused on his plate as if nothing was wrong) "Daddy, aren't you worried about the bills?"
My father said (while he continued to eat) "Honey, I have clothes on my back, food in my stomach, a warm place to sleep at night, and no one is shooting bullets at me. Everything else is just icing on the cake"
LOL that's who my Dad was. We never worried because he didn't. All my brothers and sister went to college - we all stayed married and are all still best friends. All because we had great parents.
What a great story. For those of our age, we were lucky to have parents who suffer through the Depression and WWII. They knew what was important and made sure we knew the same. Stay well.
Miller's a human? My name for him is Squidward Goebbels. He's what you'd get had the two hooked up and had a hate child. That, or them and a three-way with Roy Cohn ...
This is amazing word play writing at its best. So many good things in this article. Ted Cruz is the biggest creep..... I cannot stand him! The rest are insufferable and there is no remedy for the funk that is their entire being.
Outstanding column once again. I thought your description of Miller was the best I had read, and then as you described each of these disgusting men, I realized that everything you wrote was spot on. Thanks again. Your words are incredible as is your talent of descriptive truth telling —hitting the nail on the head. You are gorgeous, and I am sure an outstanding mother. Take care of yourself and keep writing! And as I may have said before, in the vernacular of the west Texas town in which I grew up (before getting smart and moving to New England), those that criticize you “can take a running jump up a wild man’s ass”!
Holy Shit, JoJo! You knocked it out of the park with that one! You are incomparable. You had me at 'aesthetic profile of a mildly haunted testicle.' There are so many other sorry excuses for GOP manhood as well. You left out that fast runner, Josh 'Horseface' Hawley. Otherwise known as Gumby. He wrote the book on manhood. Not. I look so forward to every one of your posts. You're the best. Thanks for helping me stay sane.
As a male, my idea of masculinity is to be kind, gentle, empathetic, compassionate, a good listener, a comfort when seas get rough, a beacon of safety, a rock to anchor to, understanding, accepting, and to not judge, while at the same time be a fierce protector, the mindless muscle when my wife, or anyone, really, needs help with heavy things, to make it clear that I am not a safe spot for bigotry, racism, misogyny, anti-LGTBQ+ sentiment, and a iron-clad conviction that we're all human and all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. These are just some of the reasons my wife married me and why we become stronger every day.
Yesterday I spent about 20 minutes at the post office escorting mainly elderly people to their cars to escape a 1A "auditor", a real piece of human refuse who was only there to make people uncomfortable and provoke confrontation. It enraged him that I was taking those opportunities away from him and he literally threatened me with physical violence, all the while keeping his identity a secret behind a mask and sunglasses. I laughed at him and kept on moving on.
Rethugs have such a warped sense of masculinity that it makes my brain cramp trying to reconcile it witj who they claim to be. I raised my three children to not look up to Repubs (with a very few exceptionns), and the "men" in your piece are the worst of the worst, confusing misogyny, christofascist beliefs, and proximity to power for masculinity. These mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, neoconfederate colonialists are about as far from being men as one can get. They disgust me.
Spot on, as always, Jo. Many thanks for all of your beautiful, thunderous, hilarious, lightning bolts of commentary.
I felt today's captured it all in one fell swoop. Completely obliterating decades of bullshit they keep trying to pile higher. It was your 107-mph fastball under the chin.
"That is why somebody like James Talarico rattles them so badly. He models the thing they keep pretending to be."
Victorian ghost child that died of spite is the greatest description of Miller yet. Vance opens his mouth and eloquence dies a horrible death. Trump is the slug that crawls through it all like the leech that sucked the Bank of America dry.
Check out all of the "women" that Muck has "procreated" and you will see his level of maturity. Muck is right because no amount of money can put a shine on his ass.
Don't get me started on Paxton. Paxton tries hard to be a toxic waste but pales in comparison to Donald J Trump. They will never be remembered as more than infamous scandrels.
WOOOOOOOT! THAT was everything! Thank you so much.
I think that Talarico is exactly who they SAY they are. Isn't there some myth of a mirror or pool that shows a person their true self? That's what he is like to them. He is the living truth of their self enhanced selves and they are not at all happy with the reflection.
Perfect song. I think their luck ran out after access to power. and they are/were not ready to concede defeat.
**can't decide which of them is worse. Paxton wins eyes unless Patel is in, Miller wins total ick factor with the personality of a zombie, Cruz is just an icky suck up who abandons his dog to a freezing house. Vance is just sort of a bland wanna be and Musk? He's one of those giant white worms just too icky to deal with. Need a shower now.
I do need to point out as a horticulturist, that at least shit has a purpose in the circle of life. Miller- not so much. More like the circle of death!

😂😂😂😂
Indeed! Robert, you've hit the nail on that [dick]head! Bravo! 😂😂😂😂😂
HAHA! Thank you.

s'awright S’all right! Where’s Topo Gigo when we need him?
Thanks a lot! Now I’ll never unsee that picture of the ketamine kid.

Need to edit: "Came of age," "Strong moral compass,"
Thanks for the big laugh, Jo! This was so funny and right on! :) I shared it immediately on Political Wire for them to enjoy :)

They all excel at being nearly useless...

This one was really great. Thank You
Now go after the idiots who vote for those baby men.
