14 to 18 year males don't need to get laid but can only blame themselves if they are not. (I was 16).
We have 3 boys 1 girl all grown. Taught the boys to respect women. Never be afraid to ask them for a date the worst that could happen is they say no.
JR High and High School I went out with the prettiest girls in school. I discovered very early guys were afraid to ask the most beautiful young ladies to the movies or a dance. Most were flattered and said yes. Then other guys would ask them. (If they would go out with me then the other guys would try.
We did duck and cover drills in my school days. It is the saddest thing to need active shooter drills.
Finally. My very best pick up line when trying to pick up a sweet young lady.
"YOU ARE THE SECOND PRETTIEST GIRL I'VE EVER SEEN!"
I remember practicing hiding in the hall with coats over our heads in case of nuclear war? Close enough to NYC to be collateral damage, luckily it never happened. I was working in a high school (small upstate NY village) when active shooter drills started. Survived one or two scares/misunderstandings. Still can't believe we don't protect the children because of grown men with small penis issues.
Best. Show. Ever. But then, I am a huge fan of his (and you, so it was just as good as it can get!) Both of you are such great examples of if life gives you a shit sandwich, sell the damn thing! Seriously, neither of you has had an easy road, and yet, you both seem incredibly happy with where you are with more plans to succeed even more. Perhaps that's part of what's "missing" too. It sucks when you are going through it, but "the fight" to get there can really build up muscle and brain for the next levels! Too many these days (she said with her old lady voice) are given participation awards; no one fails the first marking period, regardless of the grade earned; some parents are so eager to give their kids what they didn't have that they forgot the reason they have it now is that they worked hard in a lot of cases for it! And, empathy is missing in action. I saw it as an educator, and did my level best to educate the kid who shuddered when the girl with Down Syndrome walked by (yup - 7th grade, he got the extra chromosome lecture LOL).

I'm dyslexic, when I was in school Noone knew what it was. When I did get diagnosed I was 42 yrs old and I ran down every teacher I had both Jr and senior high school just to apologize. I was a real smart ass because it was easier than being the dummy. Thanks for being an educator, nothing but respect.
Another excellent pod. You're right, George is a hoot. So your son is coached by victims of testosterone poisoning. A lot of these guys get into coaching for their benefit rather than for the kids. Selfishness. Selfishness IS the problem! All that is fucked up about the present reality can be directly traced back to it. Thanks for starting my Sunday with a good laugh.
