Here's what Republicans are good for. Nothing. They're absolutely good for nothing.

I’ve tried not to start the month this way, but:

they can just go fuck off.

That’s the comment.

They have NOTHING!! Just a bunch of manufactured bullshit. But they're quick to jump in front of a camera to take credit for something they voted against. I'm so sick of their bullshit!!😡😡

Can we put this on a billboard, maybe a few courthouses somewhere? Have Rachel Maddow read it live on air? Skywrite it with a plane somewhere news cameras are sure to be? (Memorial Day observance or bridge opening or something?) Please?

You nailed it!!!!! Thanks so much from all of us who think that way but don't have the talent that you have to write it down!!!

Spot on. Racism is so incredibly compelling to the MAGAt cultists that it supersedes all else. And the Rethug politicians cultivating that almighty base can only stoke their fears in exchange for votes. They got nothing else. Except a lot of guns and psychoses.

Since 1994 Republicans have been against just about everything. Since MAGA took over the once great party became more fascist.

I've always thought the Republicans were afraid first then pointing fingers second. They live in fear. Their reaction is to keep people out. But I like what you've written which is much more to the point!

Great job Jo! Every day your showing us your skills with your voice and speaking up for all of us. We hear you because like you we care about democracy. Vote blue up and down the ticket!

Unfortunately, it appears there are some Republicans who strongly disagree with the far right, MAGA toeheads, yet only the raging, violent ones get the pulpit. We must write letters to the editors of our paper and tell anyone who will listen that Christian Nationalism and hate are not agreeable. Not going to be tolerated. The folks who care about our country will support our democratic form of government or they will lose their freedoms. Bottom line. Speak out!

I was born in the 1950s. I became politically "aware" at a young age because I lived on "Indian Road", there were a lot of roads in my area named after tribes, though the Leni Lenape (I'm positive that's not how you spell it) were native to the area of NJ I was in. In 3rd grade I read about the Trail of Tears, may have done a report on it. As I said, because I lived in an area that referenced Native Americans, I sort of identified (!?!?!) with them. Because Dutch/Italian is so close right? Kids! From there I became aware of the murders in Mississippi (parents got the NY Times-no comics, but I liked to look at the clothing ads) and other southern acts of insane hatred.Relatives were teachers in Paterson. My aunt taught with the guy who they made a movie about - he was the principal by then; and I would every now and then go to school with her. When I was a kid, they lived in a mixed neighborhood. Our "Uncle Neal" (not a real uncle but family friend) was the go to guy for the entire neighborhood of kids. So, when we visited, we mixed with all the kids. In To Sir With Love, Sidney Portier's character cuts himself and one of the kids blurts out "your blood in red!". THAT was in the 1960s right? Long winded way to say I thought we had long since overcome! Naive much? Um yeah. I actually heard of Phil Ochs, but soon the Beatles arrived and folk music sort of faded. BUT I was made enough aware that I never questioned that the people in the south in this country needed some education.

As I've aged, I've come to include whole swaths of people in the group I referred to as "Southern" including a lot of the people I live near. BUT I thought at least we've come so far as to elect a black man president. (My former teacher aunt actually lived to see that and was just thrilled) Then trump and the backlash to Obama's skin color (and he had the nerve to be intelligent too!) shook me to the core of my beliefs in this country. I'd lost belief so many times before, but usually, enough people rose up and things albeit slowly, changed. This time, people seem to be clinging to their ignorance in a way I cannot understand or forgive. I see too many "good Germans" who just can't see what trump really is. Even when he TELLS them!

You guys, I'm scared shitless.

JoJo, thank you for this, and for those who have expressed things to me. I actually saw the video a few days ago. I am so happy that someone who is white, and female, has the nerve & balls many men don't even have. You make me laugh, because you kind of see things the way I do. A crazy mess from a bunch of people who have no morals and nothing better to do than hate. They'z bass-ackwards. I'm so glad I found you and don't even remember how. It doesn't matter, because God knew I needed you.

You CRACK ME UP when I feel like going crazy sometimes. Becky Sue, tho. OMG ... LOL. Bless you!
